About WindTech

Learn about WindTech and how our journey started in 2008 with a small team of ex-Vestas employees - all united by a passion for wind turbines and renewable energy.

Today, we employ over 20 workers and have clients all over the world while we provide the same high-quality and reliable solutions as we did back in 2008.

Through both successes and challenges, the priority has always been on providing high-quality, reliable, and professional solutions for our clients and business partners - no matter if it's refurbishments, repairs, or sourcing of main components.

Learn about WindTech and our history

In October 2008, WindTech took its first steps into the wind turbine sector under our technical director and founder, Jørgen Bang Jensen.

WindTech was founded with the vision of a flat organizational structure. Therefore, every team member in WindTech, from workshop technician to project manager, would share (and still shares), a direct connection with each other and our clients..

Originally, WindTech's focus was on providing high-quality wind turbine refurbishments and repairs to a select group of OEM companies such as Vestas and Siemens Gamesa.

However, our dedication to high quality, a professional service, and client satisfaction, soon caught the attention of a broader global audience, catapulting WindTech forward.

Joining forces with Johnston Fuels

During 2021, WindTech was acquired by the Scottish organization, Johnston Fuels, and became part of the Johnston Group.

Despite this significant milestone and shift in the organization, our key values and mission remain unchanged. We continue to uphold our commitment to delivering the same high-quality and reliable products and solutions that has been our hallmark since 2008.

WindTech's story is one of passion for innovation and sustainability, and we're excited to continue this journey with you.
