Workshop Technician for Herning, Denmark

WindTech is a company located in Herning, Central Jutland with 25 highly dedicated employees who refurbish and repair mechanical components for the wind turbine industry.

Your tasks will include among others:

  • Dismantling/assembling nacelles and hubs
  • Dismantling/assembling gearboxes and main shafts
  • Working with hydraulic press/puller tools
  • Refurbishing pumps, motors, brake calipers, etc.
  • Removing/installing bearings, shafts, gears, etc.
  • Measuring bearing tolerances and shafts with micrometer tools
  • Different ad hoc tasks with turbines and components

We are looking for a candidate with the following profile:

  • You have experience dismantling and assembling mechanical components
  • Educated as an agricultural machinery mechanic, machinist/industrial technician, or other mechanically relevant education
  • You are committed and result-oriented, perhaps even a little impatient
  • Quality conscious and able to work independently as well as in a team
  • You are organized and have a structured approach to completing tasks
  • Component experience in the wind turbine industry is an advantage but not a requirement
  • Can handle a busy workday where priorities can change at short notice
  • You focus on your own and others’ safety
  • Forklift license is a requirement
  • Crane certificate (overhead cranes is prefered)
